About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking for a Senior Risk Analytics consultant.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics
- Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
- Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance
- Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
- Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff
- Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualification
- 7-8+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, and/or education
- Strong background in Credit Risk Modelling, Quantitative Finance and Programming (Python/R/SQL)
- Collaborate with risk and business teams to develop and interpret analytics for monitoring portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks, and supporting oversight activities along with delivering insights.
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex risk-related challenges by applying analytical thinking, performance metrics, and data-driven insights.
- Extract and analyze data to build risk models and financial forecasts that support decision-making and regulatory compliance, with a focus on scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Support the development and implementation of risk strategies by providing analytical input and insights to mid-level leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Engage with teams across risk, finance, and operations to align on risk objectives, share findings, and drive execution of risk mitigation initiatives.
- Act as a trusted analytical partner to leadership, offering data-backed perspectives to inform risk planning, stress testing, and portfolio reviews.
- Certifications like FRM, CFA, PRM and CQF are a plus.
