About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Treasury Associate.
The Portfolio Analytics and Control Unit (PACU) Data Governance team is responsible for designing and executing the governance framework for treasury collateral reporting data. This role requires strong industry knowledge of collateral and liquidity data. The primary responsibilities include researching governance and oversight (G&O) policies, defining and designing process and procedure documentation aligned to the G&O framework, developing executive presentations and reporting, and identifying G&O data quality requirements for compliance. This role will be a collateral and liquidity SME (Repos, Rev Repos, HQLA, Firm Long and Short, etc.), answering questions and giving guidance around the different types of information and data within this area.
Primary location is Charlotte, NC. Other locations will be considered for the right candidate.
In this role, you will:
Support finance, accounting and Business Line management on matters related to corporate treasury and related financial management
Review global market conditions, funding requirements, asset and liability management, liquidity risk management, capital management, financial performance management, capital, and related activities
Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes
Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies and accounting and consulting firms
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting and a BCom, MCom, MBA, ACA Inter, ACMA Inter, CFA, CA, CMA or higher and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
- Financial services experience dealing with liquidity and collateral management
- Experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, policy governance, process and procedure development and/or compliance analysis
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Ability to present reports to and interact with senior leaders
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
Job Expectations:
- Risk and regulatory reporting knowledge (i.e.: FR2052a, 5G, etc.)
- Agile And JIRA experience
- Data quality experience
- Good Understanding of BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI and Alteryx.
- Well versed with SQL and Python.
- Act as the collateral and liquidity data SME
- Develop process and procedure documentation aligned to defined policies
- Create executive level presentations
- Collaborate with partners to understand data usage and business needs, and leverage that knowledge to define new reporting measurements and metric opportunities.
- Monitor progress reporting in JIRA
- Complex analysis of reporting defects and enhancement requirements
