About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to join our Client Relationship Group (CRG) Supervision and Governance team. The Lead Analytics Consultant will be responsible for working with senior consultants or directly with partners, responsible for identifying and defining business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex analyses and recommendations. In this role, you will:
Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
Recommend solutions to maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
Develop specific, customized reports, ad hoc analyses and/or data visualizations to make recommendations for alternatives
Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical and/or financial analysis, modeling, process documentation, profitability analysis, customer/demographic analysis
Recommend solutions to maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
Identify business requirements and analytical needs
Identify and recommend potential data sources; compiles and mines data from multiple, cross business sources
Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
Complete other duties as assigned by manager
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in SQL
Tableau experience
Experience with R and /or Python programming languages
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Word, Access)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently while balancing the needs of multiple projects
Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to present results in a clear and concise manner
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
