About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
Participate in complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
4+ years of software engineering experience
4+ years of C#.NET Core experience,
4+ years of experience with Entity Framework
4+ years of experience with cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, OpenShift) deployments
4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following Enterprise Pipeline Tools: uDeploy (Urbancode Deploy), GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins
4+ years of experience with SCA and SAST tools like SonarQube, Checkmarx, BlackDuck
4+ years of UI design experience with REACT Framework
4+ years of experience developing RESTful web services using .net Core
4+ years of SQL Server and NoSQL (Mongo DB) experience
4 + years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI or Angular JS)
4+ years of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
4+ years of experience integrating large language models (LLMs) into web applications. Proficient in providing contextual grounding to LLMs using techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model @context Protocol (MCP), and similar approaches.
Skilled in prompt engineering to optimize LLM outputs for diverse use cases, including task-specific prompting, chain-of-thought reasoning, and few-shot examples to enhance model accuracy, relevance, and reliability.
Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Test driven development experience a plus.
Job Expectations:
Work on an Agile development team in the creation and implementation of new and existing technology frameworks, feature enhancements, applications redesigns efforts, componentized applications, micro-services, information security, database, and cloud or web technologies
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to ensure high-quality code and professional growth.
Develop complex and highly interactive user interfaces using the React UI framework. Focus on creating a seamless and responsive user experience for our self-service portal applications.
Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs to support front-end applications and integrate with various services.
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) to integrate AI capabilities directly into our applications. This includes working with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and understanding the challenges and opportunities of building AI-enabled features.
Support the end-to-end development of self-service portal-type applications, focusing on user autonomy, intuitive workflows, and a streamlined user experience.
